Interpid will come to us from Estonia, where this year’s Road to Mystic competition took place in cooperation with Heavy Music Estonia. Intrepid has convinced us with death metal, which blends awareness of the genre’s roots with contemporary sounds. At the Gdansk concert Intrepid will celebrate the release of their new album entitled “Juxtaposition.”
Pridian is visionary new metal, in which heaviness borders on metalcore tunefulness and progressive wizardry. The band also hails from Estonia – the level of the Heavy Music Band Battle in Tallinn was so high that we invited two bands to the festival. Pridian’s debut album, titled “Venetian Dark,” will be released in May by Century Media.
Burner will replace Port Noir in the festival program. There is no room for nuance in the music of this London-based band, their death metal / hardcore relies on violent resolutions, as evidenced by their debut album “It All Returns to Nothing” from 2023 and even more so by the new single “City 17 / The Night Does Not End.” With groups like Burner, the UK is now a powerhouse in new extreme music.
