Stoner rock Slomosa… Well, no – not so stoner rock. Though it’s true that the Norwegian four-piece started out in that subgenre, they are also partial to grunge, alt-rock and psychedelic leanings. They sound like your favourite 90s band, though they’re hardly from the 90s.
History:
The Norwegian band Slomosa was formed in Bergen in 2017. From the beginning, they paid little attention to conventions, as they were interested just as much in stoner as they were in grunge and alternative rock. They spent the early years on forging their style and in 2019, they introduced themselves with the single “Horses.” The debut album they released a year later piqued the interest of quite a few listeners. When the world returned to life after the pandemic, they toured like crazy and their sophomore album, Tundra Rock, released last year, will only increase the number of concerts. After all, they need to appease all the new fans.
