Skeletal Remains

Skeletal Remains are old school. Their grassroots death metal draws from the classics of the late 80s and early 90s, while simultaneously sounding so mighty and modern that it blasts everything off the face of earth. These excessive, heavily picked riffs—served with the lush rhythmic section—transpose the classics from Pestilence to Morbid Angel into the decidedly 21st-century landscape.

Geschichte:

They first formed in 2011 under the name of Anthropophagy, but they quickly changed to Skeletal Remains, which has a lot more ring to it. They got down to business almost immediately, releasing their debut demo the same year. And its contents found favour with the German underground record label F.D.A. Records. Through the label, the band released their debut full-length album, Beyond the Flesh, and their sophomore album, Condemned to Misery. The band was making a name for themselves on the death metal scene, craftily combining old-school finesse with modern production, and in 2018, with the release of Devouring Mortality, joining the Dark Descent Records canon. And two years later, they made another huge leap and signed with the acclaimed and widely respected Century Media Records. Under their banner, the band released two records, including their latest album Fragments of the Ageless released into the world in 2024.
